About the Department:
The Electronics and Communication Engineering is a highly sought after branch of Engineering today by both parents and students. This age is rightly called the Electronic Era as every facet of our life is facilitated and controlled by Electronics in one form or other. The Electronics branch was started in the year 2007. Our students will be placed in Public Sectors. The Sahyadri College Of Engineering and Management is planning to collaborate with industries to have Industry Institute Interaction; in this connection the Sahyadri College Of Engineering and Management is planning to tie up with some leading industries/Companies.

He has done his B.E. from Bangalore University in 1985, M.E. from Mysore university in 1990 and Ph.D from Indian institute of Technology, Mumbai in 2000. His areas of specialization are Fuzzy logic, Artificial Intelligence applications to power system operation and control, signals and systems, FACTS devices, power electronics, power system communication and reliability evaluation. He has published nearly 28 papers at International/ National level. He is the member of IEEE, Life member of ISTE & Fellow of Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE). Presently he is the member of BOE(UG) in Engineering at Bangalore university

Prof. S. Dayananda Shetty B.E., M.Tech., Professor & Director (STEP)

He has done his B.E.(E&C) from Mysore University(KREC) and M.Tech. from VTU (NMAMIT, Nitte). He has got more than 10 years of Teaching experience and 27 years of Industrial Experience with R&D and worked in the areas of R&D, Project, Production, Maintenance in various government and private industries. He has specialization in the areas of Power Electronics, Control & Instrumentation and VLSI. He is assigned as Director - Science and Technology Entrepreneur Park(STEP).

Prof. Manoj Kumar. M. B.Sc.(Engg.), M.Tech. (Ph.D.), Professor

He has Completed his B.Sc(Engg) from R.E.C. Kurukshetra, (Presently NIT),Haryana, M.Tech. from R.E. C.(Presently NIT)Calicut. and Presently pursuing Ph.D. at JNTU, Hyderabad. He has got more than 28 Years of Teaching Experience. His areas of interest are Power electronics, Optical Information Processing. He is the member of IEEE, Life member of ISTE

Mr. Kiran Kumar.V.G., B.E., M.Tech., Asst. Prof.
He has done his B.E. and M.Tech. in Microelectronics from NMAMIT, Nitte. He had secured 3rd rank in M.Tech.(Microelectronics & Control Systems) in V.T.U. He has got 8 years of experience in teaching profession. Subject handled:-Network Analysis, VLSI, Control Systems, Electronic circuits and embedded systems.

Mr. Ashwath Rao B.E., M.S. [VLSI-CAD] Lecturer

He has done his B.E. in Electronics & Communication from N.M.A.M.I.T., Nitte. P.G.D.B.A. in marketing from N.M.I.M.S., Mumbai and MS in VLSI-CAD from Manipal University . He has got 6 years of experience in various top IT Companies.

Ms. Deepthi Dayanand B.E. Lecturer

She has done her B.E in Electronics & Communication .Her area of Interest are Logic Design,Linear Integrated Circuits, OpAmps, Optical Fiber Communication, Wireless Communication , OOPS and Satellite Communication. She is persuing her M.Tech in Dgital Communications

He has done his B.E. in Instrumentation Technology from SJCE, Mysore. and M.Tech. in Biomedical Signal Processing from SJCE, Mysore. He has got 2 year of experience in teaching field. His field of interests are control systems, signal processing and linear integrated circuits. He has attended many national seminars

He has done his B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Atria Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He has got 1 year of experience in teaching field.

Ms. Roopashree B.E. Lecturer

She has done her B.E. in Electronics & Communication. Her areas of interest includes Digital Electronics, Digital Switching Circuits and Microwaves and Antennas. She is persuing her M.Tech in Dgital Communications
