    The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has well equipped laboratories in the areas of VLSI-Lab, Digital Signal Processing Lab, Microcontrollers &. Microprocessors, Power Electronics, Electronic Communication and Basic Electronics. Some of the special packages including BLOOM with DSP from Texas Instruments, signal analyzers , micro computer systems to generate real time control, computers for process control, micro-computer based components and IC testers, storage and digital oscilloscopes, micro-wave benches, digital signal processing trainer kits. The department also has a well-equipped computer centre with licensed Rat-Hat Linux Enterprise Edition, Central server for CADENCE tools for VLSI-Design. Research and Development is presently being carried out in the field of Switching technologies for Efficient Communication, Application of Electronic power devices for power conversion & control, Power quality analysis. and PC based instrumentation. Training programme for students is arranged at IIIT-Allahabad during summer vacation in the field of Microelectronics, Sensor network and Robotics during summer vacation every year.
